Directions to create a WWW LinkPage using Microsoft Word Processor
1. Launch Microsoft Word using Start Button or ShortCut on Desktop.
2. At Microsoft Word click on the Print Layout View button at bottom left. (Third one!)
( Why should a web page have a name, institution, and date? )
3. Type the lines of text as they appear on the provided web page. ( Left Justified )
4. Make sure your First and Last name is at the bottom with Institution & Date.
5. Note: Dividers and categories are double spaced and text is single spaced.
6. After text has been entered & checked then use Control A to select all & center.
7. When all is centered then click to the side of the selected text to de-select it.
8. Click on Format then Background then select a light background color.
(What happened? Did page change from Print Layout View to Normal View? )
9. Select the top three lines and make them Bold Use Control B or B icon
10. Select the top three lines then Click command Format then Font
11. At Text Color window, click Font Color DropDown arrow select color and click OK.
Why is it best not to choose a Blue color for Text or Background?
12. Select last line: Name, Institution, and Date make last line Bold and Color last line.
13. Select the words for the link: Teachers Discovering Computers 3rd Edition
14. Now: Minimize Microsoft Word LinkPage and launch Explorer or Firefox
15. Click on Favorite or Bookmark at the top of Browser and a List should appear.
16. Click the words for: Teachers Discovering Computers 3rd Edition
17. Select URL (web address) & use Control - C to copy URL from web address window.
18. Click Microsoft Word LinkPage on Task Bar to have it re-appear full screen.
19. Click on the Blue Globe Link icon at top of page and use Control V to paste URL.
20. Use Minimize & Full Size and Copy & Paste procedures to create the other links.

21. After all the Instructional Technology links are created then save this MS Word LinkPage.
22. Use the file name of: mswlinkpage## where ## are your initials.
23. Save this Microsoft Word LinkPage in your H Drive. It should go into a folder.
24. After the Microsoft Word LinkPage has been saved then launch it and check it.
If any links do not work then use Microsoft Word to open and correct link page.
