* Teacher Assignments:  Technology & Mathematics for Teachers * (TMT) *

Teachers should print out and review the Summary of Concepts for Module Eight

then refer to the   suggested textbook   or   textbook of their choice  for explanations

of specific  Module Eight  concepts.  Explanation(s)  contain definitions & examples.

Knowledge in a simple form should include a definition with example(s).

Click on the words above for an awesome web site on knowledge from WWW.

Web Sites to be investigated for Module Eight are located at bottom of Module Page.

Teachers are expected to select the activity on Linear Measure  and  complete it

then locate & modify  or  create from scratch a conceptual activity on this category.

Teachers are expected to select the activity on Angular Measure   and  complete it

then locate & modify  or  create from scratch a conceptual activity on this category.

Teachers are expected to select the activity on OutsideLinear  Measure  and complete it

then locate & modify  or  create from scratch a conceptual activity on this category.

Teachers are expected to select the activity on Outside Angular Measure  and  complete it

then locate & modify  or  create from scratch a conceptual activity on this category.

Teachers are expected to select the activity on The Metric System & Technology  and  complete it

then locate & modify  or  create from scratch a conceptual activity on this category.

Computational activities are to be contain in one document for sending as an attachment.

If the computational activity needs explanation then contact TMT instructor.

Computational activity is be saved and printed to be sent toTMT  instructor

Via E-mail attachment.  Computational activites are to be a single document

but could and maybe will be more than one page to contain all of the content.

Conceptual activities contain words, examples with some type of drawing.

These conceptual activities are to be on one sheet and to be sent by E-mail

to the TMT instructor via E-mail attachment and hopefully using MS Word.

Teachers should focus on computational activities for content knowledge.

All computational activities should be saved for student use, if appropriate.

Computational Activities should encourage K-12 teacher created activities.

Teacher created Computational Activities are completely optional exercises.

Teachers are expected to investigate the provided and appropriate web sites

at the bottom of  Module Eight.  After investigation of all of the provided sites,

two of the web sites should be selected as specifically appropriate and useful.

A couple of sentences, for each of the web sites, should be adequate explanation

and included in E-mail sent to TMT instructor with above CA attachment.

Using a appropriate and adequate Browser ( MS Explorer  or  Mozilla Firefox )

teachers should do a search of the WWW for web sites that further the content

of  Module Eight.   A couple of Web Sites that augment, supplement, and/or

enbellish the content of Module Five should be sufficient and adequate.

The URL ( Uniform Resource Locator / Web Address ) of the discovered

web sites should be also included in the E-mail sent to TMT instructor.

A brief description (one sentence) should accompany the URL of site.

All in all, teachers are expected to complete computational & conceptual

activities as well as investigate web sites and discovery web sites.

The computational activity along with a conceptual activity as well as

Investigated and discovered web sites are to be sent to TMT instructor.

Computational and Conceptual completed Activites are to be attached to E-mal

while descriptive sentences for investigated and discovered web sites are

to be included  within  the content of the E-mail message.   Be Specific & Brief…

( All Assignments contain:  Computational,  Conceptual,  Investigated, Discovered items. )
