Weeks of Workshop run from Monday to Sunday Midnight!

Weekly (Chapter) Assignments can be submitted together but on separate pages!

Submission of assignments is usually due at end of week, but, submissions are flexible!

Three semester hours Graduate Credit requirements:

It is anticipated, each assignment should take about (1) hour of involvement.

Start with First of the provided  (5)  unit topics and complete as follows:

( Each submitted assignment needs:       Description –Chapter * First & Last Name )

 

Obtain required textbook from Amazon.com:   Copy & Paste title below into Amazon.com

The Science Explorer   (or)   Everyday Discoveries  (or)  Suggest an equivalent text!

Textbook should be in used condition from $5+ *  4th Edition with S&H charges.

@@@   An optional textbook can be used for this workshop!  @@@

 

1. Complete a Unit Topic & submit via Email attachment to ( tlove@malone.edu )

  (1) MS Word with  (1) paragraph for each of (2) summarized topics within lecture.

Paragraphs include title of topic and at least 6 sentences on selected topic.

Using the Study Guide PP to take notes while viewing unit topic is suggested.

 

2. Read appropriate Text  & submit via Email attachment to ( tlove@malone.edu )

(1) MS Word with  (1) paragraph for each of (2) summarized topics within reading.

Paragraphs include title of topic and at least 6 sentences on selected topic.

Using the Study Guide PP to take notes while related reading is suggested.

 

3. Complete WWW Investigations & submit via Email attachment to ( tlove@malone.edu ).

It is suggested, all the provided links will be previewed and (2) selected for submission.

Submit a MS Word with (1) paragraph for each of (2) summarized sites in Chapter links.

Paragraphs include title of topic and at least 6 sentences on selected web sites (URL).

 

4. Complete Related Science Topics & submit via Email attachment to ( tlove@malone.edu ).

It is suggested, all the provided links will be previewed and (2) selected for submission.

Submit MS Word with (1) paragraph for each of (2) summarized sites in Integration links.

Paragraphs include title of topic and at least 6 sentences on selected web sites (URL).

 

5. Investigate Chat Room Tutorial and Create a Profile for access to Chat Room.

Contact Instructor for an agreed upon time to meet and discuss Science topics.

If possible contact a Team Mate and agree upon a time to meet and chat about topics!

This simple Chat Room experience might be good for your students later in the year!

6. Review PBL article and form elements to create a PBL lesson for Project Based Learning!

Select a Topic from the suggested and provided items!  Check at bottom for alternate!

Complete PBL lesson with items suggested in PBL form!   Omission of 1 or 2 items is OK!

Submit Completed 1 to 2 pages of PDL Lesson with related items from same week assignments!

Two semester hours Graduate Credit requirements:

Complete Any Two Discipline Units assignments with Project Based Projects!  Complete as instructed above:

( Example Assignments for 2 Sem Hrs GC:   1 & 2  and  3 & 4  or  5 & 6  and  7 & 8 )

The Chat Room Assignment is required to be completed at least once with Team Mate or Instructor.

Course Introduction and Faith & Learning assignments are required with (2) semester hours.
