Overview:

Simple Emails are an easy way to integrate technology into any K-16 class or course.

More advanced Emails with attachments of documents and/or images should be done.

Newsletters are Email communications while Bulletin Boards are WWW communications.

Emails, Newsletters, Bulletin Boards are examples of asynchronous communication

which is communication not at the same time.  More examples are: Blogs, Podcasts, etc...

Instructions:

Email to class or team mate then an Email to entire class is required during first week.

1. An Email to class or team mate using Online Community Internet address is required.

        A Carbon Copy of this Email is to be sent to course instructor:  tlove@malone.edu

2. An Email to entire class using Online Community Internet mailing list is required.

       Since the course instructor is included in Internet mailing list then CC is not required.

Emails are simple examples of  asynchronous communication  among students & instructor.

It is important to know how to create a simple mailing list since not all have MS Outlook.

All Emails are to be create in required format at Course Introduction & Assessment Rubrics.

An adequate and appropriate message is to be included in Emails to teammate and class.

Adequate & appropriate message might include comments on first week activities/assignments

along with comments on  Internet,  Intranet,  Address Book,  Contacts and Mailing Lists.
