Overview:

A chat room is a simple example synchronous communication which is online communication

taking place at the same time.Chat Rooms are simple & practical ways to integrate technology!

Chat Room, Instant Messaging, Online Games are examples of synchronous communication.

Instructions:

Contact classmate to arrange an agreed time to complete CR assignments during the first week.

1. Click: Chat at top of page for chat room at eCollege Ed 572 course.

Brief directions for the Chat Room assignment appear and just above

them Underlined & Blue is a link called Main Chat Room: Click link!

Finally, a small window will appear in top left corner with a small 

button to Click for another window which is actually Main Chat Room!

At Main Chat Room, in top right corner change size to full screen.

Use at least once during first week of class with any classmate.

Exchanging a few comments on first week activities is adequate.

Adequate & appropriate discussion is expected from classmates.

A recording of this visit is maintained so that I may verify the visit.

2. Use 2nd chat room at  http://itws.org/CR/phpMyChat.php3

at least once during first week with any classmate / teammate.

At second Chat Room it is requried to register to create a profile.

Exchanging a few comments on first week activities is adequate.

Adequate & appropriate discussion is expected from classmates.

When CR is used interactive discussion is maintained for (4) days.

I do not have to be present at the CR visits since they are recorded.

Also at either Chat Room discuss Pros and Cons of Chat Rooms.
